The pre-order for the November production batch of Duet 3 6HC main boards opened a few days ago at [www.duet3d.com]. Duet 3 features:
- Powerful 32 Bit Processor (ARM Cortex M7 @300Mhz)
- 6 Trinamic 5160 stepper drivers running at up to 4.5A RMS, 6.3A peak with firmware control of the full feature set including up to 256 microstepping, StallGuard 2 and StealthChop2
- 2 CAN-FD buses that support the next generation of Duet3D expansion boards, smart tools and custom addons
- Dedicated high speed bus to a single board computer (e.g. Raspberry Pi) for the user interface, network and plugins
- Alternatively, connect via PC, tablet or smartphone on the same network to the on-board Ethernet interface
- 10 PWM outputs of varying current capacities support e.g. a high current heated bed, 3 extruders and 6 fans.
- 9 IO ports for endstops, probes, filament monitors and other sensors or output devices.
- 4 Thermistor/PT1000 inputs and support for 4 PT100 and/or thermocouple inputs via the optional daughterboards
- Even better protection from accidental short circuits etc. than on the Duet WiFi, which already has much more than most other control boards
- And of course all the features that Duet users have come to expect, such as firmware configuration via the web interface, built-in power monitoring, stepper driver health monitoring, and the awesome Duet Web Control web interface
